How to fix issues related to a device (TidyPay)

This article will troubleshoot common issues with a device using TidyPay

Printer not working – If the printer is not working please try to restart it. If it is still not working after a restart proceed to follow these steps: Check if there is paper. Use “POS Steward” to check if it is the POS or device that is failing. Upgrade ROM (OS) if that is old. After all of these steps have been executed and the printer is still not working, push for a warranty with Sunmi.

Please note that by default, both the volume-up and volume-down button are configured to trigger scanning - If you press the middle, meaning both the volume-up and the volume-down buttons are pressed at once, that might trigger a double scan. Try removing one of the buttons from scanning. This can be done under terminal settings > custom key.

Touch screen not working in some areas – Firstly, restart the device. Then, if needed, follow these steps: Use “POS Steward” to do a “Touch Test”. If some areas are definitely not responding, push for warranty with Sunmi.
